and yet again, i came back to jakarta today.
the journey was pretty good with quite a number of turbulance here and there.
despite the many challenges during the journey, the landing was excellent.
the best plane landing so far. so smooth yet so light (you get what i mean?)
and the good thing was that i was able to rush out to buy some comics before we headed home (i went to 2 bookstores just to get them) (:

ohohoh, my cousins (from dad's side) are in jakarta. they are way younger than me but kids being kids are just too adorable. i didnt see them till dinner which was at some chinese restaurant. despite the unappetizing dinner, the atmosphere of the whole restaurant was simply great. tonight being the eve of a new year, they had a little countdown at the restaurant with balloons, sing-alongs, dancing, blahblah. kids were rushing to get their share of balloons while my cousins brought home 6 balloons :D

eventhough jakarta is a metropolitan city, but the fact that the country's well being is not really well taken care of by the government exists (to a certain extent). but what happened at 11.45pm (jakarta's time) changed my mindset. the government actually has put together a countdown party with 10000 fireworks worth 30mintues, which includes partying till the wee hours. it was held at MONAS and thus my dad said that it was done by the government LOL. and two million people actually turned up. we could hear the popping noises made by the fireworks from my house as we stayed in the vacinity. we could see some of the works but still we couldnt see the main attraction. and thus we turned to the teevee (that's why tv was invented, for the convenience). the fireworks was great and the songs were great, esp by ungu (or something like that). and ohh, i love peterpan(:

2007 has just ended in a poof of a blow but whatever has happened throughout the year is something that would be difficult to be forgotten.
from not liking certain people to going through the painful and agonizing times during Os and to the joy of being able to graduate. these are not just memories but they are memories that can only happen once in a life time.

since it is the new year, i should make my new year's resolutions.
1. to be closer to GOD (going to church even more often).
that's by not skipping sunday classses and stuff. and it is the strength that God has given me through out the hard times which enables me to surpass them. without it, i may just have given up ):

2. to be a better person (this is definitely)
i have been rather bad this year. so, please. made me strong to overcome any unhappiness and make me a person with a good heart.

that's all, i just couldnt remember all (:

didnt do anything much here and thus life is pretty boring. as compared to singapore, i have the luxury of having maids to serve and meet our daily neccesities and cars to travel. yet, the disappointment of not having my cousins around is killing me. they will only arrive on the 29th, while i'll be going to meet my the other cousins tomorrow at surabaya.

first day isnt that bad as we arrived rather early, having the afternoon to go for some shopping.

uncle fixed the internet connection at night and it can only be used at certain places around the house, thus online-ing is only during the day ): eventhough it is a broadband connection, it is rather slow, way slower than singapore's connection (can't be helped lurhs).

the food here woots! way great. i had AnW yesterday (the root beer float is their speciality), but it is rather expensive ):

today is christmas (:
tomorrow is the day i'll be on that aeroplane ):

i saw jaslyn's post regarding santa coming to singapore.
okay, it is a fact that singapore has millions of tall HDBs and we have no chimneys.
but it doesnt matter. Santa could make use of water pipes, or whatever pipes to pass his presents to us. HAHA. of course, provided that his wrapping papers are waterproof!
aiyah, why does it matter so much!
Santa can have his presents delivered to Singapore Post and they can mail it to us (with a fee lurhs).
then, he doesnt have to overwork his reindeers and he doesnt have to travel that much.
public transport is rather convenient and efficient here!

it was on the news yesterday (21dec.)
road accident, involving 2buses and a car at the junction near cresentgirls and redhill mrt (whatever the place is). i was at the scene (nearby). to be exact, i was on this double decker bus and the bus just wouldnt move, cause another bus (which was involved in the accident) was blocking 7/8 of the road. it took the bus driver 10-15 minutes to make his way out ):


look at how bad it is. fortunately, no life was taken, i think so.
it was so close, really close.
